"DREAM IS NOT THAT WHAT YOU SEE WHILE SLEEPING; IT IS SOMETHING
THAT DOES NOT LET YOU SLEEP"
‘CHARLES’S WAIN ACADEMY’ – Bhogpur, Dehradunis a dream
school ! It is trying to translate a dream and an ideal into reality. The
dream is of a resurgent nation, which can bring back the glory of ancient
India, where material, intellectual and spiritual advancement went hand –
in hand.
The India of Buddha and Shankaracharya, Aryabhatta and Charak. The India of
Ashoka, Chanakya, Vivekananda and Mahatma Gandhi. The India of Rakesh
Sharma, Kalpana Chawla, Kiran Bedi and Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam. But where are
we now? We are a nation of 850 million struggling for existence. Many are
very pessimistic about a revival for India. I beg to differ from them!
India can have a glorious future if only we find out all that is good in
our past and put into practice eminent men of ours.
This is one of the things Vivekananda said among hundreds of things, “Take
up an idea, think of it, dream of it, let all your veins, brains and muscle
be full with that idea and just forget all other ideas; success will be
yours!” Let me say, our future is assured Yes, a glorious future is
assured, if we have the will to do it! In the holy words of swami
Vivekananda; “Fill the brain with high thoughts, highest ideals, place them
day and night before you and out of that will come great work.” We realize
India’s future is being molded in India’s classrooms. And we are trying to
create excellence in our classrooms. Every boy and girl has to show his or
her excellence in the classrooms, activity rooms or playgrounds. For this
we offer a lot of curricular activities. Every year we will try to add more
facilities.
Perhaps are of the most important aspects at CWA is its value orientation!
Some of the emphasis here is not in the curriculum of any board or
university. We teach the value of respecting the elders through the motto
“Mata, Pitha, Guru, Daivam” In Sanskrit, “Mathru Devo Bhava, Pitru Devo
Bhava, Guru Devo Bhava”. We teach the “ May I help you?” attitude or “What
can I do for you?” attitude in life. We do take a lot of care to inject and
instill virtues. With these qualities, in them and the latest educational
technology at hand, in computers or any branch of science they study, we
are sure our children can excel anywhere in the world.
School is not merely a building, furniture and staffs but it the students
who complete the existence of school. Teachers are the most influential
people in the lives of young children whatever they follow them. So I want
to make an appeal to respectable fraternity of academic staff that never
let down the honor shown to us by the society to lead the nation by making
your students an honorable citizen of the country. To the students of CWA,
I want to say;
“One of the very important characteristics of a student is to
question. Let the students ask questions”. In the end , I only want to
convey a message to everyone who is associated with this pious
institution that, If you fail, never give up because F.A.I.L means
“First Attempt In Learning”. End is not the end, infact E.N.D means
“Effort Never Dies”. If you get ‘NO’ as an answer, remember N.O. means
“Next opportunity”. So let’s be positive.
WITH BEST REGARDS
